VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 2012 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum's ministerial meeting on Thursday agreed to present to the APEC informal economic leaders meeting for approval a list of 54 items of goods to get the treatment of tariff reduction.
Russian Economy Minister Andrey Belousov told a post-meeting press conference that ministers and their deputies in charge of foreign affairs and economy of the 21 APEC member economies had agreed to increase their agreed list of 25 items of goods from Wednesday.
Trade tariff hopefully will go down to as low as 5 percent, according the Russian minister.
APEC is striving to forge a free trade mechanism which will be known as the FTAAP.
