LAGOS, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Nigerian Navy said it has arrested 12 suspected oil thieves in the southern Akwa Ibom state.
The suspects were arrested in Mbo, Commodore Abdu Odumu, the navy's commanding officer, told reporters Monday.
The Navy chief said oil theft had drastically reduced the nation's oil revenues. He said the Nigerian Navy would have zero tolerance on oil theft and other crimes at the sea.
