KAMPALA, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) has named a women's team which will defend the Africa Under-19 Championship to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from Dec. 7-9.
Martin Ondeko, the UCA Operations Manager told Xinhua in an interview on Monday that the team will intensify training on Tuesday ahead of the competition.
"We need to prepare a very strong side which will be able to defend the title," said Ondeko.
Uganda won the trophy last year in December in Kampala.
The six teams that have confirmed participation include Uganda, Botswana, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique.
