CAPE TOWN, March 15 (Xinhua) -- A passenger bus crashed down an embankment into a valley en route to Cape Town on Friday, killing at least 10 people on board, authorities said.
Scores were injured when the bus, with about 80 people on board, crashed down the embankment in the Hex River Valley near the farming town of De Doorns, about 120 kilometers northeast of Cape Town, according to emergency service ER24.
So far 10 people were confirmed dead. A rescue team has been dispatched to the scene.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
