LUANDA, March 13 (Xinhua)-- Angola will present a report on the progress of its human rights on Thursday at the 107th session of Human Rights Council in Geneva.

The report focuses on the guarantees and fundamental freedoms enshrined in the Angolan constitution, gender balance, child protection and on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, according Angola's official news agency Angop.

The document, to be presented by Angolan Minister of Justice and Human Rights Rui Mangueira, will also highlight advances in the democratic process in Angola with stress to the general elections held in 2012, as well as the consolidation of peace and a democratic and law-abiding state, Angop said.
