OSLO, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Norwegian state oil company Statoil published here Monday the names of five employees who are still missing after the hostage episode in Algeria.

Statoil CEO Helge Lund said that by Monday morning, they had not received any confirmed information about the five employees, which include Statoil's plant manager at In Amenas and Statoil's country manager in Algeria. The efforts to establish facts through search and rescue are continuing.

There were 17 Statoil employees working at the gas plant when it was attacked by terrorists last Wednesday. Twelve of them had later either been found or freed and had all been brought to safety.

According to Norwegian media, so far, a total of 48 hostages have reportedly been found killed at the In Amenas gas plant, but none of them have been identified as Norwegians.
