China has the world's largest middle-income population: key meeting

BEIJING, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- China currently has the world's largest middle-income population, said a statement issued Wednesday after the Central Economic Work Conference.

China has made historic economic achievements since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, providing important material conditions for reforms in other areas, according to the document.
