BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Courtney Fortson and Hu Jinqiu combined for 73 points to carry Guangsha over Shanxi 133-113 in the 17th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Saturday night.
It took Guangsha only three quarters to secure its victory. Guangsha earned 49 points in the third quarter, while Shanxi only got 31.
Four Guangsha players scored double-digit points. Hu Jinqiu finished with a team-high 37 points. Courtney Fortson added 36 points and 6 rebounds. Willie Warren of Shanxi contributed a game-high 38 points, but the others didn't help.
Marshon Brooks had 35 points and 6 rebounds as Jiangsu beat Tianjin 118-98. Jiangsu jumped to 28-20 ahead in the first quarter and never looked dangerous from then on.
The last-placed Bayi almost stunned Aolong. Thanks to a game-high 35 points from Shavlik Randolph of Aolong, the home team prevailed 91-84.
