GAZA/RAMALLAH, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Four Palestinians were killed Friday and more than 200 others injured during a daylong clashes between hundreds of angry Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers in the West Bank and Gaza, medics said.

The Palestinian health ministry said in an emailed press statement that two protesters were shot dead by Israeli soldiers' gunfire in the Gaza Strip, including one handicapped young man.

The statement said that a third Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers' gunfire in the village of Anata near East Jerusalem in the West Bank.

The health ministry said that a fourth Palestinian young man, who was critically wounded by Israeli soldiers' gunfire near Ramallah after he tried to stab an Israeli soldier, died in a hospital.

It also said that more than 200 Palestinians were injured, six in critical condition, by the Israeli army gunfire during a daylong violent confrontations between Palestinian demonstrators and Israeli army and security forces all over the Palestinian territories.

The clashes broke out after Muslims' Friday prayers. Palestinian factions and political powers, including Islamic Hamas movement and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Fatah Party, consider Friday a day of rage.

The factions organized demonstrations, rallies and protests against U.S. President Donald Trump's declaration he made last week that the city of Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
