The Hainan Cultural Exchange Tour was well-received in Russian cities of St. Petersburg and Moscow lately.
The Russian audience was presented with original songs and dances of the Li ethnic group living in the mountains in the tropical island of southern China.
A professor of the University of St. Petersburg said the show cheered him up and motivated him.
“I can feel the pulse of dynamism of the nationality,” he said. “ I’m looking forward to visiting Hainan after the show.”
Hainan is not unfamiliar to Russian tourists who are often drawn to it for its sunshine, beaches, and traditional Chinese medical treatment.
In recent years, more and more Russian tourists have visited Hainan, according to the organizers.
