Hong Kong stocks close 1.09 pct lower

HONG KONG, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 318.27 points, or 1.09 percent, to 28,848.11 points on Friday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,738.84 and 29,017.66. Turnover totaled 126.5 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 16.19 billion U.S. dollars).
