GAZA, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Islamic Hamas movement in Gaza said Wednesday that the price for the Israeli assaults on the Palestinian people and their holy sites has been growing up higher and higher everyday.

The movement said in an official statement marking 30 years for its birth "We promise our people victory and empowerment, adding Hamas prepares the place and tools to lead its people towards liberation."

It said that Hamas confirms that "it is continuing in the project of liberation and resistance in all its forms until the last inch of the historic land of Palestine is liberated."

Hamas stressed that "it chose the path of reconciliation and the elimination of all forms of division consciously and insistently, and will remain united behind the gun of liberation."

Hamas marked its 30th anniversary as tension between Israel and the Palestinians has been escalating since the declaration of Trump that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

Since the declaration of Trump, six Palestinians were killed in Gaza and more than 2,000 demonstrators were injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the West Bank and Gaza.

Hamas Politburo Chief Ismail Haneya called for launching a new popular intifada or uprising against Israel after Trump's declaration.

In the meantime, militants have been firing makeshift rockets from the coastal enclave into southern Israeli communities. More than 15 rockets were fired into Israel causing no damages or casualties.

Israeli war jets and Israeli army artillery have been retaliating to rockets' attacks carried out from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel. Several military posts belong to Hamas militants were bombarded.

No one has officially claimed responsibility for the rockets attacks into Israel; however, Israel held Hamas movement responsible for the rockets fired from Gaza into Israel.
