JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of Afghans came to streets in Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday, condemning U.S. President Donald Trump over the recognition of Jerusalem as Israeli capital.
The protestors, besides burning the effigy of Trump and chanting anti-U.S. slogans, also called upon their government to review its diplomatic relations with Washington.
President Trump, reportedly in a decree on Wednesday recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the State Department to shift its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
