China eyes progress in battles against risks, poverty, pollution in 2018

BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- China will seek solid progress in the battles against major risks, poverty and pollution next year, according to a document released Friday after a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

The meeting, which focused on analyzing and studying the economic work in 2018, was chaired by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
