BEIJING, Dec.1 (Xinhaunet) -- South China’s Hainan province has started tourism promotion events in Europe with its first stop in Berlin, Germany.
Seven strengths of Hainan tourism are highlighted in the event, including friendly ecological environment, top-ranking tropical resources, largest national special economic zone advantage, etc.
Even though some similarities are shared by Hainan and other tropical islands, Hainan’s rich culture and safe travel environment are attracting a large number of European tourists, said a tourism enterprises official of Germany.
The official hoped similar events could be continued in the future.
During the promotion event, representatives from Hainan Airlines and local airlines discussed about opening flights routes connecting Frankfurt and Berlin with Hainan, which could speed up the province’s tourism development.
Following events would be held in Paris and Madrid, according to the event organizers.
