Cao Zhen (L) from the China Academy of Sciences, chief scientist of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO), introduces the project in Daocheng County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, Nov. 16, 2017. The project of LHAASO is being built in mountains of the eastern part of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at an average altitude of 4,110 meters, and will partially go into use next year.
