BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- The 2nd Hainan International Tourism Island Youth Carnival opened in a resort in the Lingshui Li Autonomous County, south China's Hainan province.
Almost one thousand young people from home and abroad gathered here to celebrate the 3-day carnival.
Themed “Go High, Go Young”, this event adds activities from the Carnival of Hainan and Hainan Ocean Sports Season, such as Beach Rainbow Run.
The carnival is a business card to attract youths to Lingshui, which can facilitate tourism's development and further enhance the popularity of Lingshui, said the director of this event.
According to statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, the total number of visitors to Lingshui was more than 2.77 million, and the total tourism revenue was more than 1.8 billion yuan.
