CHANGCHUN, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The fourth stage of Chinese Short Track Speedskating League 2017/2018 kicked off in Changchun. Nine laps pursuit was hold in the first day with Zhou Yingjie and Zhang Yuze from Heilongjiang ice skating training center winning the men's and women's titles respectively.
The four-day competitions include men's and women's 500 meters, 1000meters, 1500 meters, women's 3000 relay and men's 5000 meters relay. 141 skaters from 20 teams all over the country participate in the competition including top athletes in China, except the ones participating in the World Cup in Seoul.
In men's competition, Zhou Yingjie from Heilongjiang won the gold in 1:25.521. Yang Shuai from the People's Liberation Army ice base ranked second. Zhang Weizhi from Jilin placed third.
In women's competition, Zhang Yuze and Wang Yueyue from Heilongjiang ranked top two in 1:30.507 and 1:31.485. Zhang Qichao from Changchun came in third.
On Nov. 24, men's and women's 1500 meters races will be held.
