HANOI, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will turn its three top universities into university-city complexes, according to the country's Ministry of Education and Training on Thursday.

The three universities, including the Hanoi National University in the capital city of Hanoi, Da Nang University in the central city of Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City National University in the southern region, will be allowed to make public-private partnership (PPP) projects on building infrastructural works in the university-city complexes.

The Vietnamese government has agreed that some 300 million U.S. dollars worth of official development assistance from international financial institutions will be used to fund construction of key facilities in the high-quality complexes, said the ministry.
