FRANKFURT, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 152.50 points, or 1.16 percent, to close at 13,015.04 points.
German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.03 percent, followed by automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and German airlines Lufthansa, which lost 2.63 percent and 2.54 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE, multinational chemical firm Linde and pharmaceutical company Merck were the top three winners, rising 1.20 percent, 0.26 percent and 0.11 percent respectively.
Volkswagen was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 266.21 million euros (312.76 million U.S. dollars).
