SINGAPORE, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) climbing 0.19 percent or 6.64 points to close at 3430.02.
A total of 2.62 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.27 billion Singapore dollars (about 942.57 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 231 to 218.
The STI index closed up 1.09 percent or 36.79 points to close at 3423.38 Tuesday.
