KHARTOUM, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will begin a four-day visit to Russia in response to invitation by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
According to a statement by Sudan's Foreign Ministry, during the visit, al-Bashir would hold talks with President Putin and the Russian prime minister on enhancing bilateral ties in political, economic, cultural and military fields.
The talks would also discuss cooperation in commercial and communication domains and mutual exchange in the various fields, added the statement.
The ministry described al-Bashir's visit to Moscow as a qualitative shift in the procession of relations between the two countries.
A number of contracts, agreements and memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed on the sidelines of the visit, namely in fields of mining, oil exploration and peaceful utilization of energy as well as the diplomatic, cultural and military domains.
