YANGON, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- The 13th foreign ministers' meeting of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) has strengthened partnership between Asia and Europe, Myanmar's State Counsellor and Foreign Minister Aung San Suu Kyi said Tuesday

During the meeting, which was hosted by Myanmar from Nov. 20 to 21, attendees exchanged views on promotion of partnership for peace and sustainable development in Asia and Europe.

Topics included preventing and combating terrorism and violent extremism, drug trafficking, illegal migration, cyber security, multilateralism, among others, according to Suu Kyi at a press conference.

The Asia-Europe Meeting was created in 1996 as a forum for dialogue and cooperation between Europe and Asia. Spain will host the next ASEM foreign ministers' meeting in 2019.
