TOKYO, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Seven crew members were missing after a Japanese fishing boat capsized in the Pacific Ocean off Palau, the Japan Coast Guard said Tuesday.

The missing crew members include two Japanese and five Indonesians, said the Japan Coast Guard.

The 19-ton fishing boat Daiichi Gyotoku Maru left Naha, Okinawa prefecture on Nov. 1 for a fishing trip around Palau and was scheduled back next week.

It lost contact Monday afternoon after sending a distress signal and was found capsized about 410 kilometers off Palau Tuesday morning by a training boat of Japan's National Fisheries University.

The training boat and other fishing boats nearby are still searching for the missing crew members, according to the coast guard.
