NAIROBI, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's Alice Aprot has continued to dominate the cross country circuit and won her second race in Soria, Spain, but ruled out competing in the World Indoor Championships.

Aprot, who is the Africa 10,000m champion and silver medalist at the World Cross Country Championships, is focused on representing Kenya at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia in April.

"I have never been comfortable running on short tracks designed for the indoor circuit. My focus is on the Commonwealth Games. It is hard to make Kenya team and competing in the cross country offers an athlete a better chance to build on the endurance and fitness levels," Aprot said on Monday

In Soria, Aprot dominated proceedings in the senior women's race at the Cross International de Soria, winning by nearly a minute. Aprot clocked 26:34 ahead of Nuria Lugueros (27:22).

Meanwhile, in Eldoret, Emmanuel Kiprono won the Tuskys Wareng Cross Country in the 10km clocking 30:00 to beat Alfred Barkach 30:01 to second while Josphat Kipchirchir (30:02) came in third.

Lilian Kasait dominated women's 10km in 33:54 to win ahead of Valary Ayabei 34:23 and Stacy Ndiwa 34:53. U20 winners were Robert Kiprop (8km, 24:05) and Ednah Jebitok (6km, 21:05).
