Nets guard Russell has successful surgery on left knee

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell underwent successful surgery on his left knee on Friday.

Russell has played in 12 games for Brooklyn this season posting team-leading averages of 20.9 points and 5.7 assists along with 4.7 rebounds in 27.7 minutes per game.

The Nets compiled 5 wins and 9 defeats this season.
