JERUSALEM, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.3 percent in October 2017 compared to September 2017, according to the figures released by the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday.
Since the start of the year, the CPI rose by 0.6 percent, the figures show. Both figures are below the government inflation target range of 1-3 percent.
Over the past 12 months, namely October 2017 compared to October 2016, the CPI witnessed an increase of 0.2 percent.
The CPI excluding housing saw an increase of 0.4 percent, according to the figures.
It is worth noting that prices of clothing and footwear increased by 6.1 percent and fresh vegetables were up by 3.2 percent, compared with the previous month of September.
But prices of fresh fruit decreased by 1.1 percent, and furniture and household equipment down by 0.6 percent from September.
