KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- At least 22 policemen and 45 militants were killed after Taliban attacked the police checkpoints in Maywand district of Afghanistan's southern province of Kandahar overnight, provincial police spokesman said Tuesday.
About 15 policemen and 35 militants were also wounded during the fighting.
