AMMAN, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Jordan has hosted a meeting of the working group on stabilization affiliated with the Global Coalition to Counter Daesh, in coordination with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Germany.

At the opening of the meeting on Sunday that attracted 100 participants from 32 countries and organizations, Nawwaf Al Tal, advisor to Jordan's foreign minister, said Jordan was and will remain at the forefront in fighting terrorism, which threatens the security and values of all.

He said by hosting the meeting for the second time this year, Jordan sends a clear message to the world that is committed to fighting the terrorist Islamic State (IS) group and building on the success in the liberated areas.

He stressed the significance of the military success against the IS recently, saying it should be followed with humanitarian, development and political efforts.

The official added that Jordan was ready for being a gate for the reconstruction of Iraq.

Mahdi Allaq, secretary general of the Iraqi Cabinet, said Iraq was looking forward to the international community's support to implement reconstruction projects.

The Iraqi government, he said, was keen on the return of displaced Iraqis and reaching reconciliation in the community and removing the booby-trapped objects to allow the return of Iraqis to liberated areas.

UAE officials voiced appreciation for Jordan's support to all efforts in fighting terrorism and for hosting the meeting.

The participants underlined the need for continued cooperation and coordination to combat terrorism across the world.
