SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping displayed his in-depth, philosophical thought about China's diplomatic vision during the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), head of a global organization said.

"During the 19th National Congress of the CPC, President Xi suggested a new diplomatic vision... I think it's a very comprehensive concept," said Secretary-General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) Lee Jong-heon in an interview with Xinhua.

At the opening session of the 19th CPC National Congress, President Xi has proposed that all nations come together to build a "community of shared future for mankind" in the highly interdependent world, where the fates of all nations, big or small, rich or poor, are tightly intertwined.

"This new concept provides really a very in-depth, philosophical and theoretical background about China's future foreign policy related to the new approach to the international relations," said the TCS chief.

The TCS is an international organization, which was launched in September 2011 and headquartered in Seoul to promote peace and common prosperity among China, Japan and South Korea.

"Personally, China's new diplomatic vision is very impressive for me. I sincerely hope, and expect, that China's new diplomatic vision will be realized in close cooperation with neighboring countries, based on shared interest and shared responsibility," said Lee.

He forecast China's new vision will help eventually achieve peace, stability and prosperity in the Asian region.

Lee recommended that China, Japan and South Korea should try to better understand each other's foreign policy to prevent possible misunderstanding as the two other countries also came up with their own diplomatic visions.

"The three countries are all talking about peace, stability and prosperity. In the process of each country's pursuing its own strategic goals without converging into a grand, common strategy, the three countries maybe attempt to be engaged in more confrontation than in cooperation," said Lee.

In this regard, the Belt and Road Initiative was "playing a very important role" in closing a possible gap among the three countries, said the TCS chief.

"The initiative is a key factor in terms of increasing a connectivity within the region as well as between the region and the rest of the world. It is a grand project that should be an integral part of China's new diplomatic vision," he noted.

Proposed by President Xi in 2013, the initiative aims to build trade and infrastructure networks connecting Asian with European and Africa on and beyond the ancient Silk Road routes. It comprises the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

Lee said the increased connectivity will be the most important concept to realize an open, real regionalism.

"By increasing connectivity, every related country can get substantial benefit, for example by reducing the cost of trade... Every region is related and interconnected with each other, so we need to strengthen endeavor to expand this connectivity," he said.
