MOSCOW, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Two military troops were killed and five others injured in an explosion at a military facility in the Trans-Baikal Region in southeastern Russia, the Russian investigative committee looking into the incident said Friday.

The blast occurred at the Tsugol firing range while the soldiers were clearing unexploded explosives, the committee said in a statement.

It has launched an investigation into the operation.

Later in the day, local media reported that the injured military personnel were out of danger.
