YEREVAN, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Armenia and Moldova have pledged to deepen all-round cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral levels, local media reported Thursday.

"We are not limited in our work both on bilateral and multilateral levels," Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan told visiting Moldovan President Igor Dodon, according to the Armenian president's official website.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Moldova.

Sargsyan said Armenia is interested in close cooperation with Moldova in a variety of areas, especially in politics and economy. Bilateral trade increased by 33 percent over the past nine months and the two parties consider it necessary to further economic relations.

On multilateral level, considering Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union as well as its readiness to deepen relations with the European Union, Dodon said he is interested in Armenia's experience of working with the two blocs.

The Moldovan president expressed his gratitude for Armenia's support for Moldova in its efforts to become an observer in the Eurasian Economic Union that groups Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
