STOCKHOLM, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Two people were injured in a fire that broke out in a building in the center of the Swedish capital city of Stockholm early Tuesday, Swedish TT news agency reported.

"Two people were injured due to smoke and have been taken to hospital. Four people have been evacuated," Kjell Lindgren, a police officer, was quoted by the news agency as saying.

"The big threat now is that the entire building could collapse," Tony Frank, from Stockholm's fire department, told the TT.

The structure houses companies and nine apartment homes. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.

Police have cordoned off the affected area, close to Stureplan business district in central Stockholm, and warned citizens to avoid the place.
