RABAT, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan police announced on Friday that they have arrested six people over shooting in a cafe in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh.

On Thursday, two hooded armed men opened fire in a coffee shop, leaving one person dead and two others wounded before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.

According to a statement from the police, the suspects were arrested in the economic capital Casablanca.

Investigators have dismissed that the crime was a terrorist act, saying that it appeared to be a settlement of accounts.

The main suspect of the attack is still on the run, the statement said, adding that he is already wanted for money laundering and drug trafficking.

According to local media, the dead man, Hamza Chaieb, 26-year-old, studies medicine in Marrakesh. His father is the president of the court of appeal in the central city of Beni Mellal.
