ADDIS ABABA, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The African Union (AU) on Thursday reiterated the need to make collective and coordinated efforts to fight against terrorism across the world.
Chairperson of the AU Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place on Tuesday in New York City, resulting in several deaths and injuries, according to a statement from the pan-African bloc on Thursday.
The chairperson expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wishes speedy recovery to those injured,
"This cowardly attack and the terrorist attacks that continue to be perpetrated around the world highlight the importance of collective and coordinated action to combat these threats," said the chairperson.
