MACAO, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Macao's gaming industry revenue increased by 22.1 percent year-on-year to 26.63 billion patacas (about 3.32 billion U.S. dollars) in October, the special administrative region's gaming industry watchdog said on Thursday.

Macao's Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau said in its latest report that October's data is 5.27 billion patacas (657 million dollars) more than September, and is the 15th monthly rebound year-on-year in gaming revenue since August 2016.

The accumulated revenue in 2017 reached 220.01 billion patacas (about 27.42 billion dollars), also 19.2 percent higher than that in October 2016. The increase rate of monthly accumulated revenue has gradually improved from minus 21.4 percent in January 2016 to 18.8 percent in September 2017.

Macao's monthly gaming revenue registered a 1.1-percent year-on-year rise in August 2016, ending a 26-month slump of the industry. Since then the monthly revenue has kept recording year-on-year growth as of October.
