KUWAIT CITY, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait and Turkey signed Tuesday minutes of the 10th meeting of Joint Committee for Economic, Industrial, and Technical Cooperation to boost their bilateral cooperation in economic, commercial and industrial fields, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The meeting has reached some positive outcomes, said Khaled Al-Roudhan, Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry, after the signing ceremony held in the presence of Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek.

Kuwait and Turkey are linked by their mutual investments, he said, describing Turkey one of the important economic spots to Kuwait.

Noting that the two countries' relations have recently seen notable and significant development, particularly in economic fields, Al-Roudhan expressed Kuwait's aspiration to elevate its relationship with Turkey to wider levels of trade exchange.

The two countries are also linked by several economic agreements, he said, expressing Kuwait's keenness to enhance its cooperation with Ankara in commercial, economic, political, cultural, and artistic fields.

The Turkish deputy premier described his country's current bilateral ties with Kuwait as "excellent," adding that their economic and commercial relations are solid as well.

Saying that Kuwait is a country of law and provides low-cost power and investment lands, Simsek called on Kuwaitis to invest in Turkey as his country enjoys an attractive economy for foreign investors.

Simsek arrived in Kuwait on Monday to lead his country's delegation to the Turkish-Kuwaiti Committee for Economic, Industrial and Technical Cooperation.
