LJUBLJANA, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Slovenia has accounted 3.8 million tourist arrivals in the first nine months of this year, meaning a 14 percent year-on-year increase, the national Statistics Office reported on Monday.
The total overnight stays increased by 12 percent to 9.9 million while foreign tourists accounted for 2.8 million arrivals, which is an 18 percent improvement.
In September, the total arrivals figure was 458,000, a 7 percent increase compared to the same month a year ago. Overnight stays were also up by 7 percent, to 1.1 million.
Contributing the most overnight stays in September were traditional German tourists, followed by the Austrians, Italians, Britains, U.S. tourists and the Czech.
