BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- China's Hong Kong claimed the title of the 3rd Asian Women's Hockey Challenge here on Saturday night, beating Pakistan 4-0 in the final.

"The Pakistani team had to play another game with the host Brunei yesterday while we had a good rest for the final, which gave us some physical advantage in the final, especially in the second half," Amy Lip, team manager of the Hong Kong team told Xinhua.

"We focused more on overall cooperation while they depended more on players' personal skills, which is also the key to our championship today," she added.

The Asian Challenge was introduced by the Asian Hockey Federation in 2013 to provide the second-tier hockey teams in Asia with more opportunities to compete on the international level against opponents of a similar standard.

Three teams of China's Hong Kong, Brunei and Pakistan competed in the Women's Hockey Asian Challenge 2017. Each team played two matches against the others in the round robin and the Hong Kong team entered the final with 4 consecutive wins.
