TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and two injured after a fire erupted in Tehran Refinery on Friday evening, Tasnim news agency reported.
At the time of incident, a number of engineers and technicians were busy repairing a unit of the oil refinery in the south of Tehran, and the leak of flammable materials led to the accident, the report said.
"The fire has been contained now. It did not cause much damage but claimed six and injured two," Hedyatollah Jamalipoor, the governor of Ray district in the south of Tehran, told Tasnim.
The two injured were hospitalized and would hopefully be recovered after some treatments, Jamalipoor was quoted as saying.
