Vietnam to compete at int' l friendly football tourney in Thailand

HANOI, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's U-23 squad will take part in an international friendly football tournament slated for December in Thailand, the Vietnam Football Federation said on Wednesday.

Six U-23 teams from Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, Uzbekistan and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will compete at the tournament from Dec. 9-15.

Vietnam's U-23 squad will clash with South Korea, Australia, and Syria at the final round of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championship 2018 slated for next January in China.
