DOHA, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Qatar is grateful for Turkey's supportive stance on the Kuwaiti mediation to resolve the Gulf crisis, Qatar News Agency (QNA) quoted Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdurrahman Al-Thani as saying on Tuesday.
Al-Thani made the remarks when meeting his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the sidelines of the third session of the Supreme Strategic Committee at the ministerial level between Qatar and Turkey held in Ankara on Monday.
The Qatari foreign minister also stressed that dialogue is the only way to resolve dispute in the Gulf region.
For his part, Cavusoglu said Turkey will continue its diplomatic efforts to resolve the Gulf crisis as soon as possible.
The Saudi Arabia-led Arab quartet, which also includes the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt, cut diplomatic ties with Qatar on June 5 and has imposed an air, sea and land embargo against the tiny gas-rich Gulf state, citing Doha's support to terrorism and extremists.
Qatar has strongly denied these charges and has been seeking diplomatic and economic support from Turkey and Iran, which is Saudi's arch rival, to break the blockade.
Kuwait has been acting as a mediator since the Gulf crisis.
