Iran offers neighbors civil defense training programs

TEHRAN, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran provides training in civil defense programs for Iraq, Syria and Lebanon's Hezbollah movement, Tasnim news agency reported on Monday.

Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali said that his organization has interacted with some countries and shared its experiences with them.

"We have provided Syria, Iraq and even Hezbollah with training assistance," he said, adding the organization is prepared to give the countries more training in civil defense at their request.

The official referred to the threats against Iran and said that given the aggressive strategy of the United States, Iran faces a new type of compound intelligent threats.
