RAMALLAH, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Detainees Affairs Commission said Monday that Israel arrested dozens of Palestinians during raids into West Bank and East Jerusalem towns overnight.

The Israeli forces carried out an arrest campaign in the East Jerusalem town of Al-Issawiye late on Sunday night, arresting at least 51 Palestinians, the commission said in an emailed press statement, adding that lawyers have been following up their cases since early dawn hours.

Spokesperson for Israeli police Luba Samiri confirmed in a press statement that Israeli forces arrested 51 Palestinians from Al-Issawiye over charges related to disorder, hurling stones and Molotov cocktails on Israeli patrols leading to some injuries.

Moreover, the commission said that Israeli forces arrested 15 others during arrest campaigns in the West Bank.

Israeli forces arrest Palestinians almost on a daily basis in the Wes Bank, describing them as "wanted," while Palestinians say the arrests target civilians arbitrarily.
