Indian markets open higher

MUMBAI, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened moderately higher on Monday after a long weekend.

Equity benchmarks started off the week on a positive note after over a percent loss seen in the previous week.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 32,469.97, 80.01 points or 0.26 percent up compared to its previous close at 32,389.96.
