Suspect caught after knife attack in Munich

BERLIN, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- The suspect who slightly injured at least five people on Saturday morning in a knife attack in central Munich, Germany, was caught, the local Focus said Saturday.

The Focus quoted the police in Munich as saying that they are checking whether the suspect, who resembles the description the police gave earlier, is the perpetrator.

The report said the perpetrator reportedly wearing gray pants and green training jacket had chosen his victims indiscriminately, but the victims were only slightly injured. The police had not been able to establish any motive for the attack.

The suspect, in his 40s, launched his attacks at early Saturday morning and fled the scene on a bicycle.
