MACAO, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Indian Gaganjeet Bhullar eagled the last hole for a superb six-under-par 65 to lead the board by four shots at the 2017 Macao Golf Open here on Friday.

"It was good solid round. It was windy. It wasn't easy. I thought it was slightly more difficult than yesterday. I made a good par save on the first hole and that kept me going," said Bhullar, who stayed on course for his eighth Asian Tour title.

Bhullar, who held a share of the overnight lead, rolled in four birdies to turn in 31. He picked up another birdie on 13 but stumbled with a lone bogey on 15 before bouncing back strongly with an eagle on 18.

"I won't be thinking about winning right now. The goal is to keep doing what I have been doing for the first two rounds. If I can do that, it will be fortunate for me," added Bhullar.

Another Indian golfer Ajeetesh Sandhu continued his red-hot form to sign for a 67 and move into the second place with a total score of 133.

Kim Giwhan of South Korea delivered a 70 to trail by five shots in the third place with 134 alongside Angelo Que of the Philippines, who posted a bogey-free 67. Thailand's Prom Meesawat and Indian Shubhankar Sharma shared the fifth place with 137.

Chinese veteran Zhang Lianwei carded a 69 to tie 20th position on 142 with reigning Order of Merit champion Scott Hend of Australia, while another Chinese golfer Liang Wenchong was eliminated from the tournament after he battled to a 74 to stay in the tied-72nd place with 146.

A total of 71 players, including an amateur, made the halfway cut set at three-over-par 145 at the Macao Open, which is celebrating its 19th edition this week.

Organized by the Golf Association of Macao and sanctioned by the Asian Tour, the 2017 Macao Golf Open will end on Oct. 22, featuring 144 of the world's most seasoned professionals and the region's upcoming amateur talents.
