Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, largely in line with its levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.67-68 yen compared with 112.49-59 yen in New York and 112.67-68 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1849-1849 dollars and 133.50-51 yen against 1.1848-1858 dollars and 133.35-45 yen in New York and 1.1813-1814 dollars and 133.10-14 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
