-- The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), being built on the Nile, will start generating hydroelectric power in the current fiscal year, said an official.
Board chairman of the National Council for the Coordination of Public Participation for the Construction of GERD, Debretsion Gebremichael, said the dam will start to generate power this year as its construction is going on in full momentum. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)
