PARIS, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- French shares closed flat on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.03 percent, or 1.51 points, to end at 5,361.37 points.
A total of 12 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
European aircraft producer Airbus advanced 4.83 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French international food group Danone rose 1.95 percent. International communication giant Publicis gained 1.16 percent.
TechnipFMC, world leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services went down by 2.17 percent, the top loser of the blue chips.
French automobile producer Peugeot edged down 1.22 percent. International giant in building materials Lafarge-Holcim lost 1.04 percent. Enditem
